Description of the project content
Within the framework of the project, Omega Byte Kft. is renewing its manufacturing and sales processes. The aim is to make prototype and special-purpose machine manufacturing faster, more predictable and less error-prone, and to enable the company to demonstrate its technological solutions to customers tangibly and live.
Manufacturing process innovation
Easy Project (EasyRedmine) production management and project management system: centralised project plan, task and time tracking, resource planning, management dashboard. The system has been in live operation since April 2026, and staff training has been completed.
Stratasys F170 industrial 3D printer: prototypes are printed in-house before external manufacturing (machining), so design errors are revealed before the expensive metal part is made.
A detailed description of the new process will be registered in the copyright work register of the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (SZTNH).
Marketing and sales innovation
Machine vision-based (AOI) demonstration equipment with the Keyence XT-060 3D camera system and a Beckhoff industrial PC. The equipment demonstrates our solutions to customers live.
Services, equipment and costs to be accounted for under the project
Services used (innovation consulting)
Project preparation: consulting related to production and manufacturing process innovation, 20 hours, expert: Nowackiné Tóth Katalin. The consulting reviewed the special-purpose machine manufacturing process, identified development directions (for example shortcomings in task allocation and information flow), and laid the foundations for introducing the production and project management system.
Project preparation: marketing and sales innovation consulting (marketing consulting and brand building), 20 hours, expert: Dr. Kuttner Ádám. The consulting analysed the current inquiry-driven operation of sales and made recommendations for proactive sales and a tangible demonstration unit.
During implementation: production and manufacturing process innovation consulting, 50 hours, expert: Nowackiné Tóth Katalin. The consultant supports the system rollout, training and the development of manufacturing processes.
Equipment purchased and the reasons for it
Stratasys F170 industrial 3D printer system with SCA 1200HT washing unit, ABS-M30 model material, QSR support material, print heads and GrabCAD control software (supplier: Varinex Zrt.). Until now, prototypes and sample parts were made through repeated external machining, which was expensive and time-consuming. With the printer we produce the sample part in-house, quickly and cheaply, so errors are revealed before the expensive metal part is manufactured, reducing scrap and the lead time of prototype manufacturing.
Keyence XT-060 3D camera system with 3D VGR camera module and Vision System Expansion Module (supplier: Keyence International NV/SA). A high-resolution (approx. 9.4 megapixel) 3D inspection camera with 1 µm repeatability, which is the “eye” of the machine vision-based (AOI) demonstration equipment. With it we show customers Omega Byte's automation and inspection solutions live and tangibly.
Beckhoff industrial PC and related automation equipment (supplier: Beckhoff Automation Kft.). This computer controls the demonstration equipment (with TwinCAT control software) and coordinates the camera with the other units of the equipment. Beckhoff's unified hardware and software platform ensures reliable operation with long-term support.
Easy Project production management system (packaged application software), installed on-premises (supplier: Promint Kft.). It replaces the previous fragmented, partly spreadsheet-based records: a single system handles project planning (Gantt view), task allocation, resources, time tracking and documentation. As a result, tasks are allocated on time, information is not lost, and managers get a realistic picture of the status of projects.
Two portable computers (laptops): Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14IMH9 (83E20053HV) (supplier: A&T Investments Kft.) and Acer Nitro 16 AN16-51-50NM (NH.QJMEU.00V) (supplier: Dot-Compker Kft.). One is the mobile work tool of the new employee involved in the software rollout, the other of the employee who prepares training materials and carries out training and on-site consultations. The Gigabyte G7 model originally included in the application could not be procured, so the Acer laptop was purchased instead, with a similar configuration, based on the most favourable offer.
Personnel expenses and other personnel-related payments
Wages and contributions of the three employees involved in the project (marketing innovator, production innovator, and innovator performing training and documentation tasks), employed 20 hours per week.
Széchenyi Plan Plus
The project is implemented with the support of the European Union and co-financed by the Hungarian State.
